Practicing Peace in the Midst of Loss

If you have experienced a significant loss you are probably aware of the damaging effect grief has on the health of your body, mind and spirit. Professionals agree that the natural grief reaction sends the body into the state of stress, invoking the well known “fight or flight” response. When left unchecked, this response may result in the increased likelihood of illness, sleeplessness and discomfort. The good news is that it only takes two-10 minute periods of relaxation each day to help your body recover and heal from stress.

In this workshop you will learn simple relaxation exercises that you can take with you into your home, your work, even the grocery store, and learn how to help your body help itself. Techniques include breath-work, mental focusing and expressive arts. This workshop is open to everyone regardless of fitness experience or level of stress. Come as you are!
